The VSA-1225 combines the company's hardware and software with an HP iPAQ hx2400 Series handheld computer. The hardware module supplies the sensor power, electronics, and interface. A standard BNC connector and very low-noise input accommodates most ICP-type piezoelectric accelerometers or ICP-type velocity sensors. A built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery allows the system to operate for an 8 hr. shift. Software is included.
