Handheld Vibration Spectrum from Datastick Systems
Datastick Systems Inc.

Datastick Systems Inc., Santa Clara, CA, offers the VSA-1225 handheld vibration spectrum analyzer for the Windows Mobile/Pocket PC platform. The VSA-1225 combines the company's hardware and software with an HP iPAQ hx2400 Series handheld computer. The hardware module attaches to the Pocket PC; the iPAQ supplies computing power and the SD memory cards provide data storage. The hardware module supplies the sensor power, electronics, and interface. A standard BNC connector and very low-noise input accommodates most ICP-type piezoelectric accelerometers or ICP-type velocity sensors. A built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery allows the system to operate for an 8 hr. shift. Software is included.
