The nVision from Crystal Engineering, San Luis Obispo, CA, is a handheld reference pressure and temperature recorder that can now graph and record average and differential pressure data. Accuracy is 0.025% of the differential reading up to 300 psi static, 0.05% up to 3000 psi static, and 0.1% up to 10,000 psi static pressure. The device can simultaneously record 500,000 data points from each of its two modular sensors, taking measurements at up to 0.1 s intervals and without a change in accuracy over the –20°C to 50°C temperature range. Applications include calibrating pressure transducers, switches, transmitters, and gauges as well as natural gas correctors and flow computers; testing pressure relief valves; and field data logging of pressure and temperature.
