The general-purpose P255 from Kavlico, Moorpark, CA, is designed for pressure measurements of 0–15 psia/psig to 0–1000 psia/psig and uses a ceramic diaphragm to allow exposure to an array of liquid and gaseous process media. Features include a mixed-signal CMOS ASIC for improved EMI/RFI and accuracy, 5 VDC excitation, 0.5–4.5 VDC linear amplified output proportional to pressure, low power consumption, long-term stability, good repeatability and hysteresis, and over-voltage, reverse polarity, and short-circuit protection. Operating temperature range is –40°C to 125°C. Applications include hydraulic, refrigeration, and HVAC systems; gas tank pressure monitoring, marine systems, coolant pressures, and aggressive fluid measurements.
