Groby, UK --- GE announces the release of the Druck DPI620 Genii IS Advanced Modular Calibrator and HART/Foundation Fieldbus Communicator. The Genii IS has ATEX and IECEx approvals for the test, calibration, commissioning and maintenance of a broad range of measurement and control devices situated in hazardous areas in process industries.
Building on the success of the DPI620 Genii, the IS multifunction calibrator is modular in concept allowing a variety of hardware and software options to be configured to suit a multitude of different applications. The DPI620 Genii IS handheld is the most advanced instrument of its type. The touch and swipe display greatly simplifies the user interface and the set up for most applications takes just two or three touches, making it very intuitive and easy to use.
With 40 years of pressure measurement experience, the field-proven Druck technology is at the heart of the new platform. The handheld calibration laboratory is up to 16 times more accurate than a typical electrical multi-meter. It can measure and source a multitude of electrical signals including; mA, V, ohms, frequency, thermocouples and RTDs, for testing sensors, actuators, gauges, indicators, switches etc., that are located in hazardous zones 1 and 2 where explosive gas and air mixtures can occur.
