GaN Systems is getting pumped to demonstrate its 650V, 150A GaN power transistor, touted as having the industry’s highest current rating for a GaN power transistor. According to the company, its GS-065-150 device has 100 times lower switching losses than comparable IGBTs, said to be two orders of magnitude less, a 99% reduction in switching losses.
