AMETEK Process Instruments, Pittsburgh, PA, working with Fieldbus Inc., has added a Fieldbus Foundation interface to its LINKBUS remote instrument monitoring system (LINKBUS RIMS), which provides plant-wide access to the company's analyzers and instruments. With LINKBUS RIMS you can access analyzer information and trend data for more efficient maintenance and troubleshooting. The system is already available for the company's Thermox flue gas analyzers and Western Research 880/Series 4000 photometric analyzers and 5000 Series moisture analyzers. The system can be integrated with a range of plant control systems and acts as a data bridge to allow older analyzers to be integrated into Fieldbus Foundation networks.
