Fluke VT04 Visual IR Thermometer wins Bronze ACHR-The News Dealer Design Award

EVERETT, WA -- The Fluke VT04 Visual IR Thermometer won the Bronze Award in the electronic tools category of the 2014 Dealer Design Awards sponsored by The Air Conditioning Heating & Refrigeration News magazine (ACHR-The News). The award recognizes excellence in HVAC/R product design.

Fluke VT02, VT04, and VT04A Visual IR Thermometers blend a digital image with an infrared heat map overlay to identify the exact location of problems. The pocket-sized tools are intuitive enough to use right out of the box, making them ideal for frontline troubleshooting. This is the sixth honor for Fluke Visual IR Thermometers since 2013.

"When we designed the Fluke VT04, HVAC/R professionals told us they needed tools that could speed up inspections of HVAC/R and electrical systems to identify potential issues like uneven distribution in AC condensers, overheated motors, overloaded circuit breakers, or faulty air dampers," said Paul de la Port, Fluke vice president of Thermography. "The Dealer Design Award is validation that VT04 delivers the performance and ease-of-use contractors need when troubleshooting HVAC/R systems."

The 92 entries in the 11th annual awards were judged by a panel of independent HVAC/R contractors selected by the editorial staff of the magazine. The panel reviewed each entry and judged it on its ease of installation and use, maintenance, application and repair, and competitive difference.

Fluke VT02, VT04, and VT04A Visual IR Thermometers blend a digital image with an infrared heat map overlay to identify the exact location of problems. The pocket-sized tools are intuitive enough to use right out of the box, making them ideal for frontline troubleshooting. They display and save images as full digital, full heat map, or in three blended modes (25, 50, and 75 percent) along with the center-point temperature measurement. For more advanced troubleshooting, the VT04 and VT04A offer four times more powerful resolution than the VT02 and temperature alarms.
