Solartron Metrology, Gastonia, NC, offers two flexure gauges that maintain high repeatability and resolution <0.1 µm over millions of measurement cycles. Sensors are available in analog or digital versions, have forward and reverse spring action, and are rated IP65. The analog version has half-bridge or LVDT output and can be used with most standard amplifiers. The digital gauge interfaces with the company's Orbit network, enabling high linearity over its full 1 mm or 2 mm measuring range. The gauges are suited for post process or in-process applications requiring high precision and high volume measurements where the high throughput would shorten the life of conventional pencil probes.
