Flat Chip Resistor Can Take A Pulse

KOA Speer Electronics’ WG73 wide terminal type surge current flat chip resistor is available in a 1020 package with a 1W power rating. According to the company, it is superior to KOA’s WK73 series in pulse withstanding voltage. The anti-surge WG73 features a TCR. of ±100 ppm/°C, a resistance range of 560 mΩ to 1 kΩ, a standard tolerance of ±10% and ±20%, and an operating temperature range of -55°C to +155°C.

The component is designed with wide side electrodes that reportedly provide better heat dissipation and smaller size compared to other standard chip resistors. The WG73 is AEC-Q200 qualified. A comprehensive WG73 datasheet awaits your perusal.
