Washington, DC – The TechAmerica Foundation today announced the finalists for the 2014 American Technology Awards (ATAs) in 15 categories from over 100 outstanding entries. The ATA’s represent outstanding achievement and are the only “Best of” national award in the United States tech sector.
“The nominations for the 2014 American Technology Awards were outstanding. The amazing innovations and advancement in technology that each of the finalists represent is a true testament to the quality of our industry in this country,” said Shawn Osborne, Chairman of the TechAmerica Foundation. “We congratulate all the finalists for this prestigious award and applaud an industry that continues to out-do itself every year.”
Awards are given out in the categories of Advanced Manufacturing/Technology Manufacturing; Aerospace & Defense; Big Data; Clean Tech/Green Tech; Cloud Computing/Software as a Service; Consumer Electronics/Computers & Peripherals; Cybersecurity; Health & Medical Technologies; Internet Services, E-Commerce & Mobility; IT Services & Consulting; Semiconductors & Electronic Components; Server & Storage Technology; Smart Grid & Smart Instruments; Software; and Telecommunications.
In an effort to ensure that these cutting edge products receive the attention they deserve, the TechAmerica Foundation will be presenting the products and announcing the winners at a first-ever showcase and awards ceremony at 1776, D.C.’s premier tech startup. The event, being held May 20, brings together tech innovators, policy makers and investors.
During the showcase, the Breakthrough Technology of the Year will be chosen, which will then be honored at the prestigious Technology and Government dinner in June. Each finalist was chosen on the basis of a thorough evaluation by industry and technology experts and is considered for the Breakthrough Technology of the Year.
