The MC6 from Beamex Inc., Marietta, GA, offers calibration capabilities for pressure, temperature, and a variety of electrical measurements as well as providing a full fieldbus communicator for HART, Foundation fieldbus, and Profibus PA instruments. The device can operate in meter, calibrator, documenting calibrator, data logger, and communicator modes and automates calibration procedures. The MC6 provides gauge absolute and low differential pressure measurement; RTD and thermocouple measurement and simulation; resistance measurement and simulation; voltage, current, and frequency measurement and generation; pulse counting and generation; a 24 VDC loop supply; and switch sensing. Applications include measurements for the pharmaceutical, energy, oil and gas, food and beverage, service, and petrochemical and chemical industries.
