MILTON, GA --- Exide Technologies introduces the GNB Wrapped Positive Plate PWQ battery. The PWQ joins the existing PDQ battery in the Company's Flooded Classic line of large Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) batteries. PWQ product is available for purchase through authorized Exide sales and service teams across North America.
The new PWQ is designed to deliver emergency power to critical computer data center facilities and utility power plant auxiliary equipment. The wrapped separator configuration in the battery is accepted in the industry as a premium feature which is designed to lengthen service life.
The new PWQ features:
•100% "out-of-box" initial capacity performance.
•Lead calcium grids optimized for high rate, short duration, constant power discharges.
•Terminal posts with copper inserts to lower resistance under high rate conditions.
•Precision machined terminals which enhance post seal reliability.
•Optional flame retardant plastics.
•USA manufacturing and ISO 9001 quality certification (Fort Smith, Arkansas).
PWQ 11-17 plate model types (1680-2540 nominal watts per cell) will be available to order starting July 1st, 2016. PWQ 19-27 plate model types (2813-3978 nominal watts per cell) are planned for release starting September 1st, 2016.
