Engine Monitoring Sensor from Kistler Instrument

Engine Monitoring Sensor from Kistler Instrument
Kistler Instrument Corp.

The Type 6353A24 marine engine monitoring sensor from Kistler Instrument Corp., Amherst, NY, is designed to prevent monitoring system components from introducing noise when used with large low-rpm marine engines. The quartz piezoelectric element is coupled with an internal amplifier to provide a 4–20 mA output with ground isolation between the signal ground and sensor enclosure ground. Features include 0–200 bar measuring range, 0.05 pC/bar sensitivity, an integral cable to connect the charge amplifier to the sensor, low thermal shock, high stability, and an operating life of 16,000 hr. when operating temperatures on the sensor body range from 200°C–300°C. Applications include continuous monitoring of diesel and gas engines where high accuracy is required.
