Endwave Receives Gold Award for Manufacturing Innovation

SAN JOSE, CA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Endwave Corp. (Nasdaq:ENWV), a leading provider of high-frequency RF modules for telecommunications networks, defense electronics and homeland security systems, announced the receipt of the "M2M Value Chain Award" from M2M magazine. Endwave's Gold award earned top honors at the fourth annual M2M United Conference in Wheeling, IL. M2M United is a unique industry event that promotes the development, awareness, and business value of machine-to-machine technology and the industry that surrounds it.

"M2M magazine's Value Chain Awards pay tribute to the outstanding implementation that are happening across the globe," said Peggy Smedley, editorial director of M2M. "Endwave and the other 2008 winners have found leading-edge ways to enhance and improve their businesses by using machine-to-machine technology. Endwave's success in this area stands as a snapshot of the innovation occurring in the world of M2M."

"We are honored to have received this recognition from M2M magazine," said John Mikulsky, Chief Operating Officer of Endwave. "This is our second award of this type in the past month, thanks to our early adopter role in RFID-based manufacturing systems."

Earlier this year, Endwave implemented a wireless RFID-based lot tracking system from Omnitrol Networks on their factory floor in Diamond Springs, CA. This system enhances core manufacturing processes through continuous shop floor visibility of all work-in-process (WIP) components. Because Endwave products are components of mission critical systems, they must be carefully tracked throughout the manufacturing process. Furthermore, key defense primes and the Department of Defense are starting to request real-time visibility on order status to improve their own lean manufacturing initiatives. This new RFID system significantly increases Endwave's ability to meet these needs.
