Endress+Hauser Announces Spring 2016 Training Courses

Endress+Hauser announces its Spring 2016 schedule of instrumentation training courses. Classes typically are a combination of classroom and hands-on training on either the Endress+Hauser PTU® (Process Training Unit), a full-scale, working process skid with on-line instrumentation and controls, or live instruments in training stands, both designed to simulate operating conditions.

Courses include:

A-101 pH & Conductivity Measurement School

This course will start by providing maintenance and engineering personnel with a basic understanding of pH and conductivity analytical technologies. This basic portion will focus on concepts applicable to virtually any manufacturer's equipment. Following this introduction, we will proceed with in-depth training on pH and conductivity. The class will be a combination of classroom and hands-on training.

I-101 Basic Instrumentation School

This hands-on introductory course to instrumentation will start by providing maintenance and engineering personnel with a basic understanding of wiring, signals, instrumentation technologies, applications and installations. Fundamental operation of the common instruments found in today's process industries will be examined from a view applicable to virtually any manufacturer's equipment. Typical troubleshooting procedures for instrumentation will be covered and practiced.

I-102 Instrumentation Technology School

This extended course in process instrumentation will provide maintenance and engineering personnel with a deeper understanding of the principles explored in our Basic Instrumentation School (I101). Fundamental and detailed operation of the common instruments and applications found in today's process industries will be examined from a view applicable to virtually any manufacturer's equipment. Typical troubleshooting procedures for instrumentation will be covered and practiced.

L-101 Level School – Introductory

This introductory level course will start by providing maintenance and engineering personnel with a basic understanding of numerous level technologies. This basic portion will focus on concepts applicable to virtually any manufacturer's equipment. Following this introduction, we will proceed with in-depth training on Time of Flight (ToF) technologies that include a variety of radar types as well as ultrasonic level transmitters. This will be a combination of classroom and hands-on training.

L-101/L-102 Level School – Introductory/Level School - Advanced

Take a deep look into level measuring technology and learn about proper configuration, calibration and troubleshooting techniques in this comprehensive training course.

L-104 Free Space and Guided Wave Radar Level School

This is an introductory course (8 hours) for Free Space and Guided Wave Radar Level for maintenance and engineering personnel. We will dedicate a half day to each technology to give you a basic understanding of these level technologies. The class will be a combination of classroom and hands-on training on a PTU® (Process Training Unit).

C-101 Pressure, Temperature and Calibration School

This introductory course will by provide maintenance and engineering personnel with a basic understanding of numerous pressure, temperature and calibration technologies. This basic portion will focus on concepts applicable to virtually any manufacturer's equipment, as well as the skills needed to set up and maintain such equipment. Introductions and lectures on the technologies will be followed with in-depth demonstrations and hands-on training exercises.

F-103 Coriolis School

This Coriolis flow course (8 hours) will start by providing maintenance and engineering personnel with a basic understanding of the Coriolis principle. This basic portion will focus on concepts applicable to virtually any manufacturer's equipment. Following this introduction, we will proceed with in-depth training on density and concentration measurements. This class will be a combination of classroom and hands-on training in our PTU® (Process Training Unit).

DC-101 Field Device Tooling

After completing this course, participants will understand what Field Device Tooling means, what can be the scope and how it can be used to improve a process. Maintenance and engineering personnel will understand the basic concepts and lay out of FDT frames. Students will then be given detailed instruction of proper DTM maintenance to keep software running smoothly.

Pump Guy Seminar

The Pump Guy Seminar is presented by world-renowned pump expert Larry Bachus (a.k.a. "Pump Guy"). The training is designed to provide process plant engineers, managers, technicians, operators, and others involved with pumping systems technical knowledge on industrial pump design, operation, and maintenance.
