TT electronics OPTEK Technology, Carrollton, TX, is a wide-gap optical sensor that includes an emitter-sensor pair. The device, consisting of an LED and a phototransistor, can operate over distances up to 12 in. in industrial environments. Emitter and sensor housings are color-coded. The emitter uses an LED with a 935 nm peak wavelength matched to a silicon phototransistor. Sensors are RoHS compliant.
