The 8511A Series piezoresistive gauge pressure transducers from Endevco Corp., San Juan Capistrano, CA, are designed for maximum reliability in extreme measurement environments. The sensors are available in ranges of 5000, 10,000, and 20,000 psig. Features include self-contained full hybrid temperature compensation for stable operation over the –18°C to 93°C temperature range, ability to survive 20,000 g shock, and a min. 2X burst pressure. The sensors are suitable for studies of structural loading caused by shock waves resulting from explosive blasts; hydraulic or combustion system pulsation measurements; and automotive airbag testing.
