The 261A Series triaxial force link sensors from PCB Piezotronics Inc., Test and Measurement Div., Depew, NY, simultaneously measure dynamic and quasi-static forces in three orthogonal directions. The sensors are offered in a preloaded flange mount configuration, in 3 mechanical envelopes, and in F.S. measuring ranges from 500 lb. to 4000 lb. in the X and Y directions and from 1000 lb. to 10,000 lb. in the Z direction. All ranges are available in either ICP or charge-output versions. Applications include biomechanical research, modal analysis, cutting tool forces, automotive chassis dynamics, and force-limited vibration testing of aerospace structures.
