The U26-001 from Onset Computer Corp., Bourne, MA, is a dissolved oxygen logger used to measure the concentration of oxygen in lakes, streams, rivers, estuaries, and coastal waters for aquatic biologists, hydrologists, and other research professionals. The device includes the logger, the optical oxygen sensing sensor cap, a protective guard, and a calibration boot with sponge. The sensor measures dissolved oxygen from 0–30 mg/L with a calibrated range of 0–20 mg/L over 0°C–35°C and temperature from –5°C to 40°C. The logger has memory for 21,700 sets of oxygen and temperature measurements, has a 100 m depth rating, and a battery life of 3 yr. at 5 minute logging intervals.
