Direction Detection Sensor from Allegro

Allegro MicroSystems Inc.

The A3423 dual-channel Hall effect sensor from Allegro MicroSystems Inc., Worcester, MA, is for use in speed and direction sensing applications that incorporate encoder ring magnet targets. The device provides output signals for speed and direction of the target. Hall elements are photolithographically aligned to better than 1 µm. Features include high sensitivity, temperature stability, low-drift amplifiers for guaranteed symmetry between switches to maintain signal quadrature, and an on-chip regulator for use over 3.8–24.0 V operating voltages. The sensor is suited for use in harsh automotive and industrial environments.
