MCRT 88700V Series dual-range torquemeters from S. Himmelstein and Co., Hoffman Estates, IL, measure torque even if the ratio of peak to average torque is high; when starting, stopping, or reversing high-inertia loads; during torsional oscillations; and in diesel and single-cylinder engine/compressor drivelines. The devices have a low range of 20% of their high range and provide 3 simultaneous analog outputs that can be set to 5 or 10 V at each range F.S. Overrange is 150% to 300% and mechanical overload is 200% of the high range and 1000% of the low range. Digital output of torque, speed, and power with option Z is available over the RS-232 serial port. Software is included.
