MCRT 86000V and 87000V Series bearingless digital torquemeters from S. Himmelstein and Co., Hoffman Estates, IL, are rated for use with variable frequency drives. The devices tolerate rotor to stator misalignments of 1 in. axially and 0.3 in. radially and the antennas are immune to metal components positioned as close as 0.10 in. Accuracies are 0.05%, mechanical overload ratings are 400%, and electrical overrange is 300%. The torquemeters are offered in F.S. ranges from 50 N-m to 10,000 N-m and analog, frequency, and digital outputs are standard. A NIST traceable calibration is supplied with each unit.
