Expanding and enhancing the Okami range of point-of-load (POL) dc/dc converters, the OKDx-T/50 series provides digital control and delivers up to 50A/165W from a module measuring 30.85 mm x 20.0 mm x 8.2 mm. Available in three different packages, through-hole, single-in-line, and surface-mount, the converters are configurable using standard PMBus commands. Other features include a non-linear transient response that decreases response time and output voltage deviation, phase spreading to reduce input capacitance requirements and efficiency losses, optimized dead time control that constantly adjusts dead time non-overlap to minimize duty cycle and maximize efficiency, digital current sharing, input voltages from 4.5 to 14 Vdc. and a configurable output voltage from 0.6 to 3.3 Vdc. Typical efficiency is 97.2% at 5 Vin, 3.3 Vout, and with 50% load. Pricing in OEM quantities is $21.90 each.
