The Microlink 851 from Biodata Ltd., Manchester, U.K., provides data logging, control, and real-time DA for Ethernet and IP-based networks. Features include 32 digital I/O; frequency counting; event counting; software-selectable 12- to 18-bit resolution; configuration, analysis, and logging software; and analog measurements including voltage, temperature, strain, pressure, current, flow, level, and pH. Each module offers 48 channels. Each input has 2 alarm thresholds; digital channel switch when alarm thresholds are crossed. All channels can be scanned up to 10 times per second. Multiple modules can be connected, limited by the number of addresses on the network.
