The CTT current loop (4–20 mA) transmitter from OTEK Corp., Tucson, AZ, is powered by existing 5 A current transformer, extracting the power flowing on the transformer's secondary, without accuracy degradation due to saturation. The CTT is available in miniature panel mount, DIN rail mount without display, and panel mount with integral backlit display packages. Conversion is rms-DC, measuring range is 0.05–10 A AC, accuracy is ±0.1% F.S., load is <700 ohm, min./max. output is 3–26 mA, and operating temperature range is 20°C–80°C.
