The 3234A Series from Dytran Instruments Inc., Chatsworth, CA, consists of three single-axis cubic IEPE accelerometers that differ in sensitivity and range. The Model 3234A1 has 10 mV/g sensitivity, the 3234A2 has 100 mV/g sensitivity, and the Model 3234A3 has 500 mV/g sensitivity. Features include IEPE operation, a self-generating seismic element, a high-impedance signal that is fed to the input of a miniature onboard IC JFET charge amplifier to drop the output impedance level, ground isolation, and all titanium construction. Applications include modal analysis, NVH, squeak & rattle, and general-purpose vibration measurement.
