Coolant Level Sensor from Gentech

The coolant level sensor from Gentech International Ltd., Girvan, U.K., part of the Measurement Specialties group, uses giant magnetoresistive technology to monitor the coolant level in header tanks in trucks, HGVs, buses, and off-highway vehicles. The sensor is available with single-, 2-, or 3-stage switching points and provides a signal compatible with the engine control unit of low and/or critical coolant levels. The signal can also be used to provide a visual warning in the truck cab and, in some cases, to deregulate the engine.
