Electrical connector cages are now available as an optional accessory for the company’s 628 Series intrinsically safe hammer-union transmitters. Employed in a wide variety of harsh and viscous oil-and-gas exploration and drilling applications, the hammer-union transmitters are offer substantial shock and vibration resistance. Although the transmitters are ruggedly constructed, the optional electrical connector cages provide additional protection to help guard the electrical connection from damage caused by hammer blows while loosening or tightening the hammer union.
