Compact Sensor Measures Laser Power Fast

gSKIN Laser Power sensor

The gSKIN, an OEM sensor, measures laser power across a of 0.91 μm to 12 μm wave-spectrum. It is also suitable for measuring average laser power as well as for the determination of singular energy pulses. Based on thermopile technology, when a laser beam hits the thin absorber surface of the gSKIN sensor, the power converts into heat. The sensor then transforms the heat into an analog voltage signal, which is readable with a data-logger or a voltmeter. The sensor modules measure from 4 x 4 mm2 to 4 x 4 cm2 and is customizable to fit specific needs.
