Designed for harsh environments, the THN 15WIR family of ruggedized dc/dc converters measure 1 in. x 1 in. x 0.4 in. and offer increased resistance against electromagnetic interference, shock/vibration and thermal shock. Compliant with EN 50155 and EN 61373, the family consists of 27 models offering ultra-wide 4-to-1 input ranges of 9-36 / 18-72 / 36-160 VDC and output voltages of 3.3 / 5 / 12 / 15 / 24 / ±5 / ±12 / ±15 VDC. The ultra-wide input range satisfies a ±40% deviation of nominal required of today’s railway and transportation systems. Other features include I/O isolation of 3 kVdc, efficiency of 88-91% (model dependent), a full load operating temperature range of -40°C to +75°C (up to +90°C with load derating), input under-voltage-lockout, short circuit protection, remote On/Off, and output voltage trim.
