TE Connectivity’s latest circular hybrid connector (CHC) is groomed primarily for use in controllers for hydraulic and pneumatic valves. It provides eight power and four data contacts and suits real-time machine automation applications requiring power up to 10A. Using a retrofit platform, the CHC also offers optional inserts with 11 contacts plus protected earth. Additionally, the connector meets the Versatile Automation Random Access Network (VARAN) standard, the Industrial Ethernet based protocol used in factory automation. Typical applications include welding, stamping, milling and injection molding operations.
