UNAR ultrasonic sensors from Baumer Ltd., Southington, CT, are designed to operate in harsh environments where they are exposed to inorganic acids, alkalis, organic solvents, and moisture. Max. sensing distance is 1000 mm. Features include an IP67-rated M18x1 housing of V4A SS, a Parylene coating for the sensor face, and an FFKM O-ring. Applications include noncontact proximity, position, counting, level, and distance sensing for petroleum-based products; paints, coatings, and related solvents; cleaning fluids; and other harsh materials. Sensors are available in digital and analog versions.
