Category Leader Announces Exclusive Platinum Series - Debuts High Performance Escort 9500ci Installed Detector

WEST CHESTER, OH -- The radar detector category and patent leader, Escort Inc. (EscortRadar.com), announced the first of its exclusive high performance Platinum Series products, the Escort® 9500ci Platinum Series custom installed radar and laser defense system. Available through select stores, the new Platinum Series offers an elite buying and user experience that includes extended product warranties, one-on-one product demonstrations and special "appreciation" gifts.

Available nationally from more than 1,000 rigorously trained +12 Volt after-market specialty retailers, Escort's Platinum Series focuses ultra-high performance products on demanding driving enthusiasts. Specially trained Platinum Series retailers provide consumers a refined purchase experience that results in a specific Platinum performance product ideally matched to their individual driving needs.

Platinum Series owners also receive their choice of a free gift from a unique collection of offerings from Escort. "If you are a driving enthusiast, Escort's Platinum Series products can dramatically expand your road awareness and increase your driving confidence," said Sally Washlow, Escort President. "Leading technology, unique dealer distribution and category superiority make the new Escort 9500ci Platinum Series easy for the enthusiast to appreciate and acquire."

First in the luxury line, the Escort 9500ci Platinum Series detector offers class leading long-range radar performance, 360 degree laser "shifting" protection, and a discreet, custom integrated installation.

Escort 9500ci's twin antennae platform achieves industry leading radar detection by separating X band from the critical K and Ka band radar signals and then processes signals using a dual low-noise amplifier design. The result is maximum X band range and superior sensitivity on the difficult higher-frequency K and Ka radar bands, including "POP" radar.

Front and rear Laser Shifters provide 360 degree protection against all laser threats including the latest technology "double-pulse" laser guns. Four separate receiver/shifting sensors can be positioned front and rear for maximum laser protection.

To underscore this unprecedented level of performance, Escort is offering a 3 year product warranty and for the first time, a "NoTicket Guarantee" program (visit EscortRadar.com for program details).

The Escort 9500ci protects drivers beyond conventional radar and laser threats. By using GPS location awareness and the embedded Escort Defender™ Database of North American red light and speed camera locations, drivers are warned of accident prone intersections and speed cameras in advance.

Common to the new Platinum Series products, the Escort 9500ci features built-in Bluetooth® connectivity for linking to the Escort Live™ ticket protection app. Escort Live, SEMA's 'best new product' winner (2011), helps provide additional protection against laser traps and patrol locations that are shared automatically through the app with other drivers in the area.

The Escort 9500ci Platinum Series radar and laser defense system is designed to be installed so that it is out of sight. Using physically separated components including interior cockpit display and controls, under hood mounted radar receiver, and both front and rear laser receiver/shifters, 9500ci's installation is discreet. The detector kit also includes a speaker for voice and tone audio alerts as well as a 'hidden' bi-color display for visual alert confirmation.

Escort 9500ci retails for $2,499.95 (before installation) and is available at high-end aftermarket +12 Volt and automotive specialty shops.
