Lion Precision, St. Paul, MN, offers the Elite Series noncontact capacitive displacement sensor systems that can connect to National Instruments' LabVIEW to retrieve measurements and control system functions. The Series features CPL190 and CPL290 capacitive sensors and the MM190 meter/signal processing module, and a high-density connector on the rear panel that connects directly to NI DA boards. Other features include TEDS, fault detection, differential analog signals, the ability to synchronize multiple sensor systems, inverted excitation signals on odd and even numbered channels, and full metal module enclosures. Range is 0.0004–0.4 in. with 0.004% F.S. rms resolution (0.04% F.S. P-P) and bandwidth is 15 kHz.
