The PIC18F4685 family of low-power, 8-bit CAN microcontrollers from Microchip Technology Inc., Chandler, AZ, have 80–96 KB of Flash program memory and integrated EEPROM memory. Suited for use in automotive and industrial applications, the devices are supplied in 28- or 44-pin packages and feature 3.3 KB of RAM; a 10-bit ADC with 8 or 11 channels; SPI and I2C communications; one enhanced and one standard capture compare PWM; two analog comparators; one 8-bit and three 16-bit timers; programmable brownout reset and low-voltage detect circuits; and an internal oscillator with selectable frequencies from 31 kHz to 8 MHz.
