The OV480 from OmniVision Technologies Inc., Santa Clara, CA, is a compact companion processor to enhance camera performance in wide field-of-view applications for automotive vision systems. The processor works with the company's automotive image sensors, including the OV7955, OV7962, OV10630, and OV10635 to deliver electronic distortion correction up to 195° and enhanced low-light performance. A temporal noise filter delivers excellent scene reproduction in difficult lighting conditions. The processor also provides top-down and perspective views and supports a cross-traffic view feature to let drivers view traffic from both sides of the vehicle.
