Busbars Ready For Next-Gen EVs and HEVs

Rogers PES ROLINX CapEasy and ROLINX CapPerformance capacitor-busbar assemblies promise to cut size and weight while increasing energy andefficiently distributing energy in powertrains for electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs).
They also employ Power Ring Film Capacitor technology from SBE to achieve dc-voltage ratings as high as 12 kV with power-handling capabilities to several hundred MegaWatts. The busbar assemblies include metalized polypropylene film capacitors for enhanced power-handling capabilities in compact footprints. The capacitors exhibit low equivalent series inductance (ESL) and resistance (ESR) for low loss and excellent heat-transfer characteristics for effective thermal management in EV and HEV drive trains and other power-distribution applications.
