Microchip Technology adds the MCP8025 and MCP8026 three-phase brushless DC (BLDC) motor gate drivers with integrated power module, LIN transceiver, and sleep mode to its portfolio. They specify an ambient temperature of +150ºC and a sleep current of 5 µA typical. The on-chip LIN transceiver is compliant with the LIN Bus 2.1 and SAE J2602 standards, as well as the previous-generation LIN 1.X standards. Additionally, the MCP8025/6’s adjustable buck regulator is among the industry’s most efficient for stepping down from 12V supplies to power 3V and 5V MCUs. The MCP8025 and MCP8026 drivers are both available in 40-pin, 5 mm x 5 mm QFN and 48-pin, 7 mm x 7 mm TQFPs. Pricing starts at $2.13 each/5,000.
