The BIOSENSOR 2200R from MSA, Pittsburgh, PA, is a portable handheld biohazard detection instrument for rapid detection and analysis of biological agents. The system uses dynamic surface generation, a patent-pending type of immunoassay detection. You can test wet and dry samples and get results in 5 min.; results are displayed with a red (target present) or green (no target present) indication. Tests are nondestructive so you can retain samples as evidence. Features include positive and negative control cartridges, the ability to run 50 tests on a single charge, IP67-rated housing, visual and audible alarms, and integrated RFID for automatic cartridge recognition.
