Broadview, IL - Belden Universal has been named a winner of two coveted awards: the 2016 Manufacturing Leadership Awards by Frost & Sullivan and the 2016 Golden Mousetrap Awards. The Golden Mousetrap Awards celebrate the companies, products, and people who are energizing North American design, engineering and manufacturing. Belden Universal was recognized for the development of AS9100C Custom Universal Joints for Aircraft High Lift Actuation Systems (HLAS) in the category for Materials & Assembly: Fastening, Joining & Assembly Components.

Belden Universal’s aircraft HLAS universal joint development project was once again selected a winner in the Engineering & Production Technology category. In this category judges were looking for new design and production approaches with game-changing process improvements, adopting new technologies while improving efficiency, responsiveness and reducing costs.
