Averaging, Multispot Temperature Sensors from Weed
Weed Instrument

Weed Instrument, Round Rock, TX, offers the ACCU-TEMP Type M tank measurement sensor that determines either average or multiple spot temperature and is constructed of flexible, corrosion-resistant SS or Monel annular-ring hose. Designed for direct immersion in the product, sensors can be used in tanks as high as 200 ft. The variable length averaging RTD version uses a number of sensing elements of different lengths and determines the average temperature by selecting the longest fully submerged element and connecting it to the temperature circuit. The multiple spot averaging RTD version uses a number of PT100 spot sensing elements at 10 ft. intervals; the temperature measuring circuit averages only the submerged elements or reads individual points of temperature to provide a tank temperature profile.
