Arbor Solution Adds Fully Rugged 8 inch IoT Handheld Unit to Gladius Line

SAN JOSE, CA -- Arbor Solution announces the introduction of the latest model to its growing line of handheld fully rugged digital devices: the Gladius 8. This IoT (Internet of Things) tablet features a Quad-core Cortex™A7 processor, a large 7.85" color TFT LCD display with a multi-touch projected-capacitive touchscreen, and multiple connectivity options for today's highly mobile world. The unit is ideally suited for such applications as warehousing, transportation, medical, and mobile point of sale (mPOS), and will be announced at Pack Expo, November 2-5, Chicago, IL.

The new Arbor Solution Gladius 8 provides plenty of performance as it incorporates a power-efficient MediaTek MT8382 Quad-core Cortex™ A7 CPU and a PowerVR™ Series5XT GPU, a series of highly efficient graphics acceleration IP cores that meet the multimedia requirements of the next generation of computing applications.

A key feature of any mobile device is its ability to keep workers connected to each other and to other locations. The Gladius 8 does just that with features such as:
• Integrated WWAN, WLAN and Bluetooth connections that aid the sharing of information while keeping workers in touch
• An HDMI port as well as two SIM sockets extends its versatility

The Gladius 8 fully rugged handheld device has a large, easy-to-view 7.85" TFT color LCD with 1024 x 768 resolution and uses exceptionally thin Corning® Gorilla® Glass. The display is anti-reflective to fit any application either outdoors (rain or shine) or inside and enables more sensitivity and accurate touch response.
