Mt. Olive, NJ –American Sensor Technologies, Inc. (AST), manufacturers of pressure sensors and transmitters for pressure and level measurement, announces an expansion to its corporate headquarters and pressure transducer production facility. AST will occupy an additional 4,500 square feet to accommodate its continued growth, increasing the total facility size to over 18,000 square feet and its commitment to U.S. manufacturing.
With continued growth in various markets, AST needs additional space in three key areas: main production area, stock room, and shipping/receiving/inspection. The update will increase the size of the assembly area by 50%. The larger stock room will house more sub-assembly and finished goods inventory to aide short cycle customer demands. New offices will help to centralize production managers and personnel within the general manufacturing area.
The project is expected to be completed by June 2014. The company's last expansion was in 2006, when it moved to the International Trade Zone in Mount Olive, NJ. Additional room is available to AST within the same building and office complex for future expansion as well.
