Aleier, MACTEC Demo Condition-Based Maintenance

PLANO, TX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Enterprise asset management (EAM) leader Aleier, Inc., a subsidiary of RF Monolithics, Inc. (RFM) (Nasdaq:RFMI), announces a joint software demonstration with engineering management experts MACTEC Engineering and Consulting, Inc. (MACTEC) at the IFMA World Workplace 2007 Conference & Expo in the MACTEC booth # 2135 October 24–26, 2007 at the Earnest N. Memorial Convention Center in New Orleans. The joint demonstration features the Aleier FM1 EAM Suite with condition-based maintenance computerized maintenance management (CMMS) that is newly integrated with the MACTEC Vertex engineering management system (EMS).

The integrated systems provides the unique combination of CMMS utilizing data from machine-to-machine (M2M) wireless sensor networking coupled with EMS-based capital planning utilizing the operating condition data that drives maintenance management decisions. The integrated solution is a key strategy for achieving 1) "the greening" benefits of energy efficiency resulting from real-time condition-based maintenance, and 2) overall reduced operating cost derived from applying real-time operating condition-data utilized in engineering management.

The demonstration provides facilities / asset managers and maintenance management professionals with valuable information and tools for reducing costs of ownership and extending the life of assets and equipment under their management. The demonstration:

  • Features how the use of asset condition data drives O&M Planning;
  • Reviews keys to creating a defendable business case for MR&R funding;
  • Highlights the day-to-day maintenance impact on Capital Planning;
  • Covers the benefits for tying condition-based maintenance to lifecycle planning;
  • Previews the latest software solution that integrates capital planning with computerized maintenance management for a single solution across the entire enterprise.
