The FMA1000 Series from Omega Engineering Inc., Stamford, CT, measures and displays velocity and temperature of airflows in ducts and pipes for HVAC applications, research labs, and manufacturing. Three RTD elements are used, one for air temperature up to 121°C while the remaining two measure air velocities up to 50.8 m/s. Accuracy is 1.5% F.S. for velocity and 0.5% F.S. for temperature. Response time is 250 ms, programmable up to 2 s. Three sensor probe configurations are available: fixed probe with top or back mount or a remote probe with a 4.5 m cable. The transmitter provides 2 analog outputs for air velocity and temperature as well as high and low velocity voltage alarm outputs.
