The Mag629 three-axis magnetometer from Bartington Instruments Ltd., Whitney, U.K., can be used for airframe compensation on standard aircraft or can be mounted on land- or sea-based vehicles. The device features ±75 µT F.S. measurement range, <8 pTrms/√Hz at 1 Hz noise, 1.1 kHz bandwidth, –55°C to 55°C operating temperature range, and 2-part construction. The three sensor axes are arranged to have a common point of intersection, clearly defining the center of measurement of the magnetic field being examined. The magnetometer has been tested to MIL-STD-202G, MIL-STD-810C, and MIL-STD-810F, among others.
