Knowles Acoustics

H (full housing) and F (fixed-plate) Series waterproof shot-detection acoustic sensor assemblies from Knowles Acoustics, Itasca, IL, are for use as a component to detect/receive ultrasonic sound waves in air. The sensors use membrane and conductive plastic technologies to meet IP67, MIL-STD-461E, and MIL-STD-810F mechanical and electronic criteria. Sensor assemblies are designed for ruggedized panel and fixed mounted outdoor applications to monitor and detect frequencies from 30 Hz to 50 kHz with minimal attenuation across the frequency range. Applications include ultrasonic shot detection, engine fault detection, and low-frequency vibration and sound-wave monitoring.
