Endevco Model 8530C Series absolute pressure transducers from Meggitt Sensing Systems, San Juan Capistrano, CA, are high-sensitivity piezoresistive devices for use in hydraulic and pneumatic pressure measurements, automotive airbag testing, and transmission testing applications. The sensors are offered in ranges of 15, 50, and 100 psia with 225 mV F.S. output, nonlinearity of 1% at 3 times overrange, and resonant frequencies of 180 kHz (15 psia), 320 kHz (50 psia), and 500 kHz (100 psia). The volume behind the sculpted silicon diaphragm is evacuated and glass sealed to provide an absolute pressure reference. Other features include integral temperature compensation and an integral cable.
