Meggitt Sensing Systems

The Endevco Model 8530B Series of miniature, high-sensitivity absolute pressure transducers from Meggitt Sensing Systems, San Juan Capistrano, CA, are offered in ranges of 200, 500, and 1000 psia and feature excellent linearity and thermal transient stability. The sensors use an active 4-arm strain-gauge bridge diffused onto a sculpted silicon diaphragm; the volume behind the diaphragm is evacuated and glass-sealed to provide an absolute pressure reference. Resonant frequencies are 750 kHz (200 psia) and 1000 kHz (500 and 1000 psia). Temperature range is –18°C to 93°C. The devices can withstand shock to 20,000 g, have a min. 4X burst pressure, and the nonlinearity, nonrepeatability, and pressure hysteresis errors are <0.50% F.S. (200 and 500 psia) and 1% F.S. (1000 psia).
