70-Vdc Switcher Powers Stepper Drives Ad Integrated Motors

Applied Motion Products’ PS480D72 70-Vdc switching power supply is groomed for use with stepper motors and drives. The supply is compatible with step motor drives, integrated stepper motors, as well as StepSERVO Drives and StepSERVO Integrated Motors from Applied Motion Products. By increasing the supply voltage to these products from 48V volts to 70V, users immediately see performance gains in both torque and speed.  These performance gains enable users to increase motor acceleration rates and maximum speeds to support faster machine cycles and greater throughput. Allegedly, in many applications, increasing from 24V to 48V or 48V to 70V volts can mean the difference between success and failure.

The PS480D72 Switching Power Supply runs on 120 or 220 Vac and provides 6.7A.  The output is adjustable between 70 and 80 Vdc. It is UL recognized, CE-approved, and RoHS compliant for use in industrial environments. For more information, peruse the PS48OD72 datasheet and/or call 800-525-1609.
